On February 2, 2026, University Network for Research Collaboration: A Belt and Road Science and Technology Initiative (iUNRC) organized an annual summary and reporting meeting of its thematic working groups online. Chinese and international Chairs and Co-Chairs of the nine thematic working groups established by the iUNRC, along with their core team members, attended the meeting. The iUNRC Secretariat invited experts from relevant fields to provide suggestions.

During the meeting, each thematic working group systematically reviewed and presented their annual work progress, fund execution status, current challenges, and future work plans, comprehensively showcasing the progress and achievements made by the working groups in 2025.

The attending experts carefully listened to the reports and engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with the heads of each thematic working group on topics such as research cooperation, academic exchanges, talent cultivation, and the publication of high-level papers.

This meeting reviewed the annual work effectiveness of the iUNRC's thematic working groups, distilled collaborative experiences, clarified future development directions, and laid a solid foundation for further deepening research cooperation among member universities. The iUNRC will continue to leverage its platform advantages to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation among its member universities, injecting sustained momentum into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
