Professor Géza Husi from the University of Debrecen, Hungary, Leads a Delegation to Chongqing University
On April 28, 2026, Professor Géza Husi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, and Professor Zsolt Tiba, Dean's Representative for Foreign Affairs at the Faculty, visited Chongqing University. The University of Debrecen is the Co-Chair of the University Network for Research Collaboration: A Belt and Road Science and Technology Initiative(iUNRC) for the 2026-2027 term.
An exchange meeting was held between the delegation and representatives from Chongqing University, including Xie Hui, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs and Deputy Dean of the Institute of Scientific Research and Development; Yang Ming, Deputy Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering; Zhang Caizhi, Professor from the College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering; Liu Hong, Professor from the School of Civil Engineering; and relevant staff from the Institute of Scientific Research and Development.

Xie Hui briefly introduced the background, development history, and major activities of the iUNRC. Subsequently, Professor Géza Husi provided a detailed overview of the University of Debrecen's general profile, with a focus on the Faculty of Engineering's disciplinary development and program structure. During the exchange session, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on talent development, particularly regarding joint doctoral training. They also exchanged views on cooperation in faculty visits and joint research.
Following the meeting, Professor Géza Husi and Professor Zsolt Tiba visited Chongqing University's Science City Campus, where they toured laboratories of the School of Electrical Engineering.
This visit laid a solid foundation for deepening the partnership between the two universities and injected new momentum into further expanding practical cooperation under the framework of the iUNRC.
