Professors Vojin Golubović and Milika Mirković from the University of Donja Gorica Visited Chongqing University

From March 30 to April 2, 2026, Professor Vojin Golubović and Professor Milika Mirković from the University of Donja Gorica, Montenegro, visited Chongqing University. The visit was supported by the Innovation Fund Project of the University Network for Research Collaboration: A Belt and Road Science and Technology Initiative (iUNRC), with a focus on academic exchanges and research collaboration.

On the morning of April 1, Professors Vojin and Milika held a special academic lecture at the School of Economics and Business Administration of Chongqing University. The two professors systematically elaborated on the economic development, current challenges, and trade patterns of Montenegro and the Western Balkans region, focusing on issues related to economy and trade. The attending faculty and students engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the optimization of Montenegro's trade models, fostering a vibrant academic atmosphere.

During their visit, the two professors conducted a series of research and exchange activities. They visited the China-Hungary Technology Transfer Center, the Mingyue Lake Coordinative Innovation Pavilion, and the Mingyue Lake Laboratory, where they learned about practical cases of international technology transfer and cutting-edge technological achievements. They also visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery to deepen their understanding of Chongqing's natural resources, transportation planning, and geographical advantages. In addition, the two professors visited the Shapingba District International Logistics Hub Park, where they toured the Inland International Logistics Hub Exhibition Center and the Tuanjiecun Central Station to learn about the overall planning of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and the operation of the China-Europe Railway Express.

On the afternoon of April 2, the Shapingba District Science and Technology Bureau held a meeting with Professors Vojin and Milika to discuss the development status of foreign trade enterprises. Afterwards, Professors Vojin and Milika visited New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Chongqing Co., Ltd. to conduct field research on foreign trade products and the company's digital operation model.

This series of activities was carried out within the framework of the University Network for Research Collaboration: A Belt and Road Science and Technology Initiative (iUNRC), serving as an important academic practice centered on the project titled “Promoting sustainable food and energy trade for resilience in Belt and Road regions - comparative analysis and capacity building initiative”. Through thematic lectures, field visits, and panel discussions, the activities provided lots of cases and regional perspectives for subsequent project research, facilitating the effective alignment of research content. At the same time, these activities have strengthened the vitality of international cooperation under the iUNRC framework and further deepened the partnership between Chongqing University and the University of Donja Gorica. It holds positive significance for enhancing collaborative research capabilities in the field of strategic resources among Belt and Road countries.
